After the huge success of A FEW GOOD MEN and before even bigger success with THE WEST WING and THE SOCIAL NETWORK, Aaron Sorkin wrote this romantic comedy/drama for director Rob Reiner about the President of the United States (Michael Douglas) falling in love with a lobbyist (Annette Bening). It wasn’t a particularly great movie, but it gave us a glimpse of Sorkin’s later work on THE WEST WING. The below scene is a dialogue scene between Michael J. Fox, who plays one of the President’s speechwriters, and the President and its a great example of Sorkin’s wonderful writing style:
