GHOSTBUSTERS is probably the first film that comes to mind when you think of Bill Murray and that film still remains his most popular film. However, I would argue that GROUNDHOG DAY comes a very close second. Here, Murray plays a cocky and generally unpleasant weatherman who finds himself repeating Groundhog Day over and over and over and over again. In this scene with Andie McDowell, who plays his producer, he is trying to make her fall in love with him by telling her all the things she wants to hear. Since he gets to repeat Groundhog Day again and again, Murray uses the days as trial and error to tailor his approach to McDowell until he gets it right.
